The Brooklyn United Marching Band brings nothing short of high energy to high marching performances that combine vibrant horns, rhythmic drums, choreographed dance, and twirling flags. But don’t be fooled. While the group’s members clearly have fun when performing before an audience—who wouldn’t?—They log plenty of time, energy, and discipline behind the scenes rehearsing every note and every step for precision and accuracy.

Throughout the season, this group travels to Washington, DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Maryland, and Warrenton, North Carolina just to name a few.  The Brooklyn United Evolution Drumline combines the musical talents of a group of 12-20 school-age percussionists in grades 5-12. The Evolution Drumline trains to learn more advanced musical skills, including cadence—skills the members put to work in a variety of well-rehearsed routines and venues. To participate in the Evolution Drumline, members must demonstrate both good grades in school and a willingness and discipline to learn outside of school. In addition to learning drumline skills, they learn leadership skills and gain confidence—key ingredients to succeed during performances and competitions where they take to the floor to showcase their drumline music and street beat talents.

Brooklyn United performed at our food event at The Grand Prospect Hall. The second they walked into the room, they blew the roof off of the place and transformed the food event into a party. They were easy to book and work with and a pleasure to have at the event. Highly recommended!
