The Brooklyn United Marching Band brings nothing short of high energy to high marching performances that combine vibrant horns, rhythmic drums, choreographed dance, and twirling flags. But don’t be fooled. While the group’s members clearly have fun when performing before an audience—who wouldn’t?—They log plenty of time, energy, and discipline behind the scenes rehearsing every note and every step for precision and accuracy.

The Marching Band is comprised of 20–40 members, ages 9 - 26. Throughout the season, this group travels to Washington, DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Maryland, and Warrenton, North Carolina just to name a few. In addition to learning solid music skills, the members of this group learn to value hard work, discipline, and teamwork, so that together they succeed.

The Brooklyn United Evolution Drumline combines the musical talents of a group of 12-20 school-age percussionists. Evolution Drumline is proof that hard work and discipline pay off. This engaged group of high-energy percussionists take their performances seriously, and the results are pure fun and entertainment. These skilled musicians take ownership of the stage or street wherever they perform—from Barclays Center to MetLife Stadium to Carnegie Hall—and showcase drum and cadence talents they have developed and perfected with the help of BU’s music and art professionals. Beyond music and dance, members also demonstrate leadership skills and confidence whether performing in front of parents, community representatives, or elected officials. This drumline packs the house every time, promising quality entertainment with spirited rhythm and street beat moves.

Brooklyn United performed at our food event at The Grand Prospect Hall. The second they walked into the room, they blew the roof off of the place and transformed the food event into a party. They were easy to book and work with and a pleasure to have at the event. Highly recommended!
