ONE BEAT AT A TIME.
The mission of Brooklyn United Music & Arts Program is to provide inner city youth aged 5-21 with positive marching band experience while promoting the four pillars of: academic support, character development, skills building, and performance opportunities. Brooklyn United Arts & Music Program offers structured homework assistance and literacy instruction as well as various character building seminars, mentoring, tutoring, leadership programs, college readiness programming, dance, marching band and field trips.
This year, we are asking our friends, families and supporters to give back in a way that will directly impact Brooklyn United Music & Arts Program. Please choose any of the gift wrapped boxes where you can donate $1, $10 or even $50 to help fund a BU program.
THE GIFT OF MUSIC & ART
The gift of music and art will help fund field trips for students whose parents may not be able to provide funds for such activities as well as band, art, music and dance programs.
THE GIFT OF CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
The gift of character development will help continue to implement curriculum which focuses on teaching students values, such as honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. BU has been an essential source of education and character development for hundreds of Brooklyn children and youth.
THE GIFT OF SKILLS BUILDING
The gift of skills building will help to support activities designed to empower and engage youth with a life skills curriculum which supports the development of much more than academic skills.
THE GIFT OF PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
The gift of performance opportunities helps to fund field trips for students whose parents may not be able to provide funds for marching band performances and uniforms.
